Obituary of Anna Marie Ullrich
Anna Marie Ullrich, 81, of Colts Neck passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born and raised in Newark, had lived in Middletown for about 10 years, and settled in Colts Neck in 1972. Anna enjoyed shopping, going out to new restaurants, and spending time at the beach. She was known for pinching the cheeks of those she would greet. Anna loved to host holidays and often traveled to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the Summer Theatre Festival. Above all, Anna was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Marie LaPlaca; aunts, Ceciia DePaola, Clara DePaola, and Rose LaPlaca; and uncles, Jack Pizzolato, Frank DePaola, Joseph DePaola, Joseph LaPlaca. Anna is survived by her children, Steven Ullrich and his wife, Jeanette, (and their children Tyesha, Jazznette, Lucas, and Augie, and their six grandchildren), Lisa Ullrich-Goodwin and her husband, Mark, and Michele Ullrich; grandchildren, Bryan Todero and his wife, Dawn, Crystal Ullrich, Melissa Ullrich, and Matthew Ullrich; her “greats”, Benjamin and Zachary Todero; brother, Anthony LaPlaca and his wife, Maria; aunt, Laura Pizzolato; beloved canine companion, Lola; many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Friday, April 21, 2023 at The Parish of Saint Mary, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleums, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro. All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
