Edward F. Stacey, 64, of Monroe Township passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, had lived in Freehold, NJ for 10 years, and settled in Monroe, NJ in 2020. Edward worked for over 30 years as Security Manager for the New York Stock Exchange. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, music, especially Frankie Valli, and putting music/DVD’s together for his family. Edward collected movies and music and coins. He had a great love for cats, taking long drives, and trying new food. He especially enjoyed entertaining friends and family with good food and music. Above all, Edward will be remembered for his kind soul and generous nature.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph S. Stacey; and twin brother, Thomas W. Stacey. Edward is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Stacey; brother, Joseph J. Stacey and his wife, Diane; sister, Ellen Parke and her husband, David Jr.; sister-in-law Chris Stacey; nieces and nephews including: Janie Rodriguez and her husband, Willie; Joseph R. Stacey and his wife, Michelle; David Parke, III and his wife, Mary; Megan Leight and her husband, Joel; Sarah Heidig and her husband, Geoffrey; and Sydney Brinker; great nieces and nephews including: Ellene Rodriguez, Jude Leight, Gavin Stacey, Madilyn Leight, Teghan Stacey, and Jonas Leight; and ex-wife and longtime friend, Chat Stacey.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with his funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM.
