Obituary of Peter Vincent Corallo
Peter V. Corallo, 76, of Farmingdale passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Peter was born and raised in Elizabeth. He was also raised in Roselle before joining the United States Air Force in 1964. Peter served our country during the Vietnam War until 1968. In 1979, he married his wife, Kaaren and they moved to Rahway, then to Howell before settling in Farmingdale in 2004. Retiring in 2001, Peter had worked for Schering Pharmaceuticals in Kenilworth as an Inventory Specialist for thirty-three years. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale and a member of the American Legion, Posts 5 & 178. A renaissance man, Peter was skilled at the art of photography, found passion in exploration, through travel and relished feeding and entertaining people especially with his BBQ. He was a passionate fan of the NY Jets, Mets, and the NJ Devils. Peter was a devoted husband for forty-four years, loving father, and adoring Grandpa & Pop-Pop.
He was predeceased by his three brothers and two sisters. Peter is survived by his wife, Kaaren Corallo; two children, Jaime Corbu and her husband, Anthony of Farmingdale and Peter Corallo, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Nicholas Corbu and his wife, Amber, Kristine Corbu and her boyfriend, Jonathan Quinones-Verace, Elizabeth Corallo, Peter Corallo III and Amanda Corallo; five great grandchildren, Noah, Evangeline, Alina, Remi and Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Hoefling and Karen Kozak; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM for the procession for his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
