Obituary of Grace N. Abramov
Grace N. Abramov, 78, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in Freehold Borough, and settled in Howell in 1963. Grace worked as a Medical Billing Clerk for Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for over 20 years, retiring in 2014. Prior to that, she worked at Lakewood Pediatrics and as a Special Education Teacher for Edith M. Griebling Elementary School. Grace was a former Library Commissioner for the Monmouth County Library. She was also a member of the Farmingdale/Howell Township Lions Club, the Red Hats Society, and the Howell Township Republican Club. Grace had a great sense of giving, as indicated by her generous donation to Howell First Aid, honoring her mother, Rose Trezza for whom they named an ambulance after. In the 80's, she could be found at the Howell Lanes bowling in Leagues and she always relished her time at Monmouth Park Racetrack. Yet, poker was Grace's passion, and she could be found at a World Tavern Poker table and was a member of the Central Jersey Chapter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor Abramov; and brother, Anthony Trezza. Grace is survived by her children, Victor Abramov, Jr. and his wife, Miyong of Clayton and Tamara Magarowicz and her husband, Michael of Howell; four grandchildren, Kyle Abramov, Kara Abramov, Mallary Magarowicz and her husband, Mark Decker, and Taylor Magarowicz; and a great grandson, Travis James Decker.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.
