Condolences
John. A true example of a Fine Man. Fiercely loved his Family, Country, and a True MAGA Patriot. I was lucky enough to know him as his hairstylist (no, not barber). I usually book a man’s cut for a half hour. But not John. He was booked for an hour. I so enjoyed our spirited conversations of Politics, Music and Everything in between.
The world lost a very special guy last Wednesday. I will miss You, John the Conservative.

I was first introduced to John AKA Nelly, by Skip. We had so many laughs together and I could listen to him tell his stories for hours, often by the pool at Nellie and Maryann’s house. I fondly remember his love of animals, especially cats. He is now with his Brooklyn Buddies, and I’m sure they had a drink waiting for him.
God bless and rest in peace.
Love, Eileen Midtbo
My heart is broken by such bad news, God rest his soul on Mr. Nelson, he was a very dear and respectable person while I had the honor of knowing him, my deepest condolences ma'am and the whole family, Rest in peace sir nelson
It had been many years since we used to hang out together with the group in Brooklyn, but I have many fond memories of going to sports events and the racetrack with John and the other guys. I would see him occasionally over the years and they were always good times. He will be fondly remembered and a kind and funny person. My condolences to his family.

So sorry for your loss.
"Nelly" joined our 42nd street group through a mutual friend John Christiansen. It was around 1963 or 1964. He quickly became part of our family of friends. The Beirnes,
Nielsen, Herbert's.
He loved to go out to Yonkers and Roosevelt raceway with "the boys" and he was a good handicapper. He was a generous guy.
