Obituary of Sherman Mason Nelson

Sherman Mason Nelson, 90, of Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  He was born in Highlands, raised in Sea Bright, and lived in Long Branch before settling here in 1959.  Sherman was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He worked for Incoplas in Eatontown, and then for Alto Development in Farmingdale for twenty years prior to his retirement in 1998.  A man of the sea, he was a true fisherman.

He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Sheldon Nelson.  Sherman is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sarah Nelson; three children, Laura Selinski and her husband, Barry of King of Prussia, PA Angie Pena and her husband, Jose of Winchester, TN, and Heidi Nelson and her partner, Donald Schnoor of Springfield, NJ; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Eve Weinstein of California.
