Condolences
Emily and Gary,
Jose and I are so sorry about the loss of Diane. She was such a nice person. I will always remember her caring, generous spirit and her wisdom. She was such a fierce advocate for you Em, I saw that in action. May your love for her carry you through this terrible time.
Love Pammi and Jose
Diane was truly special and I have no doubt she will be missed by many. I know she will definitely be missed by my family and most especially by me. I met Diane at Bell Laboratories when she returned from West Virginia. It was not an easy time for her since she was in process of making a fresh start. I marveled at how strong and resilient Diane was and how her faith in God never wavered. Our friendship grew stronger through the years and when she married Gary, my husband and I enjoyed adventures and dinners with the two of them. Diane was overjoyed when Emily was born. Both Gary and Diane were so thankful to have their beautiful little girl and they loved her so much! Diane and I were there for each other as we faced major milestones and the ups and downs in each other's lives. Through it all, I will always remember her smiles and her infectious laugh. I am so thankful to have had Diane in my life and honored to call her my friend.
Diane will always be a beloved friend who I met in 1971 at Shepherd College . We remained friends all our lives sending cards during the years , calling each other when things happened in our lives , and just being there for each other. I often told Diane how much I wished we lived closer so we could see each other more. But, she had her life in Freehold and I had mine in Springfield, VA. ; now Dagsboro, Delaware. We knew this was just the way it was and that was good. I can say that my my life was enriched by Diane . I always wished I could cook like Diane loved to cook and sing like her . She was so special especially in being the best Mother any child could have. Diane, I will miss you. Thank you for being my friend. Saunie Wolstenholme
Diane was an irreplaceable friend. We shared our love for Jesus Christ and the Bible. I am so honored to have known Diane and to be welcomed into her family. I am so excited to see her in eternity. I know whom she believed in and am confident she has now seen Him... our inheritance, the Lord.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21
I met Diane recently through Advocates for Self-Direction. Throughout Covid, we spoke by phone and Zoom planning outreach mailings together. I will miss her.
I only met Diane once through a mutual friend decades ago but, I haven't forgotten her, Emily or Gary. With my deepest sympathy to Gary, Emily and Diane's family and friends.
