It has been such a blessing to know Mrs. Longo since childhood. I have always looked forward to her gentle presence at family gatherings, with her kindness, common sense, and good advice. When I heard that she passed away, my immediate thought was that “they don’t make women like her anymore.” Her complete lack of priggishness or self-importance –
her innate humility – was combined with complete dignity. It is so rare to meet someone who combines both of those qualities today. Mrs. Longo was wonderful to talk to and had a sense of humor and point of view borne of long experience, a life of real trials and real blessings. She was so restful to be around, yet she often caused a much-needed change in perspective. I’m so grateful to have known her and spent time with her. She is in my prayers along with the whole Longo family. I have no doubt that she is as caring and interested in you all now as she always was. Thank you for sharing her with us.
With love,
