Condolences
I was deeply saddened to hear of Matt's passing. Matt and I worked together at the jewelry store for several years where he provided security services. Matt always had a smile on his face, and was always ready to lend an ear if anyone one of us had a hard day. We always knew Matt would protect us, and do whatever it took to keep us safe in the store!
One year Matt was my secret Santa at Christmas. He gave me a "funny" gift with a bunch of clues and small presents, which had me guessing, and my actual present (a scarf and gloves). I was so impressed with the thought, time, and effort he put into my gift, which was a direct representation of the kind of man he was! He knew my style just from working with me one night a week. I will forever cherish those gifts and continue to think of him every time I wear them.
My sincere condolences to his wife and children, I can only imagine the loss you must be feeling.
I wish I had an opportunity to tell him what a special person I thought he was, and how much he will be missed! He was a great man with a big heart and big personality!
We shared over 30 years of friendship and endless laughs and fun memories. My condolences to his family. He’ll be missed. Rest easy brother.
