Obituary of Kathleen B. Novak

Kathleen B. Novak, 71, of Howell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at home.  Kathi was born in Long Branch and raised in Woodbridge.  She had lived in Edison and East Windsor before settling here in 1984.  Kathi worked in the accounting departments at Johnson & Johnson, West Windsor Township, and ran her own condo management company until a career change.  She returned to school and received her LPN, and then her RN.  Kathi worked for Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch on the Hospice floor for ten years until her retirement in 2013.  She was a member of the Lincroft Zen Sangha (a suburban lay sangha of the Soto Zen Buddhist sect).  Traveling, birding and amateur photography were somethings Kathi truly enjoyed. Additionally, during the past several years Kathi volunteered to serve on various township committees, and would often be a regular at Council and Board meetings.

Kathi is survived by her husband, Robert J. Novak; her son, Jesse Novak of Neptune; a sister, Patricia Warchal and her husband, Kenneth of Point Pleasant, and their son Michael.
