Obituary of James Bochicchio

James Bochicchio, 94, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 29, 2023. James was born and raised in Brooklyn. He had lived in the Great Kills section of Staten Island before settling in Freehold Township in 1999. After retiring as a building inspector for the City of New York, James owned and operated Eagle Contracting until his late 80's. He was a former member of the Italian American Club in NYC and relished his time watching the sport of boxing. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony and Vito. James is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Dr. Daniel Bochicchio, Carol Ann D'Elia and her husband, Vincent, and Georgette Schioppo and her husband, Anthony; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Katie, Emily, Carolyn, Deanna, Jennifer and her husband, Eddie, Danielle and her husband, Michael and Dana Marie; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Gia Bella, and Enzo.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 12:00 Noon Mass at The Parish of St. Mary, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ.
