Obituary of Celeste J. Marino

Celeste J. Marino, 67, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at CentraState Medical Center.  She was born in Brooklyn and was raised in Queens and had lived in Old Bridge before settling in Freehold 16 years ago. Celeste was a Human Resources Manager at MedAvante for over 10 years. She would look forward to her many trips along side her husband, Benny. Celeste would express her love to her family by cooking and baking for them she was known for her cheesecake. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and her dogs. Celeste had a singular strength of will, which she would readily share if you needed some, this is what drew people to her.

She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Antoinette Howard; sister, Debra Howard. Celeste is survived by her husband, Benny Marino; stepdaughter Dana Marino of Staten Island; stepson, Peter Marino and his wife, Lisa of Nashville TN; two step grandchildren, Landon and Sadie; sister, Beverly Gagliano of Huntington, Long Island; niece, Debbie Gagliano; nephew, Anthony Gagliano.  

Visitation will be held at Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, August 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with her funeral service to follow.  Inurnment will be private.
