Obituary of Debra Hratko

Debra Hratko, 61, of Howell passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  She was born in Perth Amboy, raised in Port Reading, and lived in Carteret before settling in Howell in 1993.  A graduate of Woodbridge High School, Debra worked in the insurance industry, first for Allstate and most recently for Liberty Mutual.  Debra was a people person, animal-lover, and always was the life of the party.  She enjoyed singing with her friends and attending concerts, especially to see the Goo Goo Dolls every year with her mother, daughter and friends. Her presence within the Jersey shore music scene was well-known and she was crucial to forming many popular bands. In her spare time, Debra could be found relaxing on the beach, adding to her already-extensive shoe collection, and spending time with her race car family.  What Debra loved the most was spending quality time with her family especially her children Michael and Jenae, her partner Patrick, and her two beloved dogs Nikko and Pinot.

Debra was predeceased by her father, Donald Roxlau; former husband, Glenn Hratko; and brother Douglas Roxlau.  She is survived by her children, Michael Hratko and Jenae Hratko, both of Howell; mother, Janet Williams and her husband, Jim of Toms River; her partner of fifteen years, Patrick Spangler of Howell; niece, Dara Lombardi and her husband, Kevin of Edison; and many friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Interment will be private.
