Obituary of Barbara F. Barry

Barbara F. Barry, 82, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island before settling in Freehold 18 years ago. Barbara worked as an administrative assistant for the Staten Island Ferry. In her younger years she was a member of the Staten Island Horseman’s Association. She was passionate about cat rescues and was an avid animal lover. In her spare time Barbara was an eBay seller. What made her so special was her love for her family and pets.  

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, William and Grace Asbrock and brother, Bill Asbrock. She is survived by her two children, John Barry and his wife, Donna of Staten Island and Eileen Avino and her husband, Alphonse of Freehold; four grandchildren, Jennifer Riggi and her husband, Luciano, John Joseph Barry, Nicholas Avino and Anthony Avino; two great grandchildren, Luciano and Angelo; two brothers, Fred Asbrock and Tom Asbrock and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
