Obituary of Marie C. McCaskey
Marie C. McCaskey, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Sunrise of Jackson. Marie was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Bucks County and lived in Yardley and Lower Makefield before moving to Jackson in May of this year. She was a paraprofessional for Bristol Township School District until her retirement. Marie relished her time creating textiles by crocheting, watch BBC murder mysteries, playing Sudoku, and laughing with her fellow Sunrise residents. Yet her true passion was spending time with her family, who affectionately called her “Grandma and Gigi”. Marie was a wiz at using technology to reach out to family wherever they were in the world.
Marie was predeceased by two brothers, James Paul and Joseph Paul and a brother-in-law, Richard Martin. She is survived by her sister Johanna Martin, youngest brother James Miller his wife Renee, and Sister-in-law Debbie Paul as well as many loved nieces and nephews, including Stephanie and Jason Candy, and their son Jason, Melissa Martin, Jaime Paul and her son Grayson Hook, as well as James Paul III, Jessica Miller, Tammy Miller, Sarah Miller, Gunnerson Miller, Maggie Miller and Joseph Paul.
Marie is also survived by her two children, including her son, Joseph McCaskey and his wife, Cynthia; her daughter, Amelia Tahaney and her husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Liam Tahaney and his wife, Katelyn, and Elizabeth McCaskey; her chosen grandchildren, Nitya Pollock and her husband, Graham and their daughter, Harlow; Zachary York and his wife Kelley and his daughter, Lilly; Rebecca Long and her son, Nile Green.
