Obituary of Maura Elizabeth Egan

Maura Elizabeth Egan, 36, of Staten Island and Howell passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Old Bridge before settling in Staten Island 17 years ago. Maura worked multiple odd jobs at On Your Mark, Staten Island. She had an adventurous spirit. From an early age, she enjoyed Broadway shows, Concerts and Disney Cruises with her family. Maura was happiest when listening to music, especially the chicken dance and watching the Harlem Globe Trotters. She was an avid animal lover. Maura had a radiant beauty with a sparkling personality and was friend to all. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who gave Maura such loving and careful attention during her life, especially all her wonderful caregivers at On Your Mark.

Maura is predeceased by her Maternal grandparents, Mary and Edmund Staines and her Paternal grandparents, Agnes and Martin Egan.  She is survived by her loving parents, Terrence and Maureen Egan of Howell; brother, William Egan of Staten Island; 22 Aunts and Uncles and 22 1^st Cousins and many more extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Inurnment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.
