Obituary of Mary Noto
Mary Noto, a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, in Freehold, New Jersey at the age of 92. She was born in Jersey City to Gregory Marzigliano and Francis Marzigliano and was the sister of the late Anthony Marzigliano, the late Esther Troisi, and Leonard Marzigliano. Mary grew up in Jersey City and later married Gabriel J. Noto, with whom she raised her five children in Cranford before retiring to Brick Township. Gabriel J. Noto passed away in 2004.
Mary is survived by her brother Leonard, her five children, James Noto (Colleen), Dr. Gregory Noto (Marcia), Denise Gachko (Steve), Marie Perillo (Jack), and Gabriel Noto (Linda), her sixteen grandchildren, Thomas (Yeliz), Michelle (Joe), Vincent (Victoria), Kara (Tom), Kenneth, Jonathan, Joseph, Ryan (Carrie), Alex, Steven (Laura), Heather Ann (Matthew), Megan (Tim), Victoria (Jon), Amanda, Nicholas, Madeline, and thirteen great-grandchildren, Cem, Arya, James, Camila, Jonathan, Joseph, Brenna, Nolan, Alder, Charlie, Annie, Benjamin, and Josephine.
Mary worked for 25 years at United Counties Trust Company in Cranford NJ before retiring. She was an avid bowler, pet enthusiast, she loved the beach, cooking, and traveling. In her later years, she found a passion for creating beautiful works of beaded art, a talent she learned from her loving sister-in law. Above all, she found the most joy in entertaining and cooking for family and friends. Her famous recipes have been handed down to her children and grandchildren. She was very generous and kind and always found ways to help those in need while welcoming everyone into her home.
The family will greet guests on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 8:30 until 10:00 AM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on the same day at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow Mass in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her memory to:
