Obituary of Pauline M. Thomas

Pauline M. Thomas, 92, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at home. She was born and raised in Jersey City, lived in Hillsdale, Howell, and Toms River before settling in Freehold in 2002. Pauline was a devoted member of the St. Rose Catholic Church and a Red Hat lady. She had a love for cardinals, taking trips to Atlantic City, and spending time doing activities with her friends at the Freehold Senior Center. Pauline often found joy in reading, especially books written by Danielle Steel, needlepoint crocheting, and completing word searches. Her greatest role in life was being a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George E. Thomas; son, Michael Thomas; grandson, Bobby Martin; and brothers and sisters, Marie Amato, Joseph Turso, Michael Turso, and Ann Turso. Pauline is survived by her children, George Thomas, Laurinda Thomas, Richard Thomas and his wife, Barbara, Colleen Drucker and her husband, Kenneth, and Beth Martin and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Katie, Heather, Christopher, David, Brian, Samantha, Michael, Megan, Matthew, Jenna, Nicole, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Hailey, Natalie, Chase, Mila, Willow, Tessa, and Billy; sisters-in-law, Rose Turso and Helen Rezzonico and her husband, Ernie; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in St. Mary of The Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Road, Lakewood.
