Obituary of Edward F. Tracy

Edward F. Tracy, 85, of Jackson passed away at home on Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Secaucus and had lived in Manalapan and Freehold before settling in Jackson in 1997. Edward’s life was characterized by service and sacrifice, evident in his quick rise to Sergeant. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Edward went to work at Exxon Mobile Chemicals for over 30 years retiring as a first line supervisor. The beauty of his garden reflected the beauty of his soul. He felt most at peace when he was taking care of his lawn, tinkering with a new project and bird watching. His kindness and generosity will be missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph, and Jean Tracy; brothers, Joseph Tracy, Jr; sisters, Theresa Ruggieri and Antionette Urban. Edward is survived by his wife, Louise Barbara Tracy of Jackson; four children, Edward Tracy and his wife, Donna of Natural Bridge, NY, James Tracy and his wife, Stephanie of Jackson, Lorraine Tracy of Morganville, and Susan Tracy of Allentown; two stepchildren, Chris Brunner and his wife, Nancy of Jackson and Maria Brunner and her fiancé, Steve Dennell of Jackson; and eight grandchildren, Edward, James, Jenna, Austin, Dakota, Anthony, Vincent and Logan.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 12:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Gabriels Historic Church, 549 County Route 520, Marlboro, NJ 07746. Entombment to follow at St Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleums.
