Obituary of Elizabeth Sciortino

ELIZABETH J. SCIORTINO, 68, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, at home. Mrs. Sciortino was born in Queens, N.Y. and lived there before moving to Howell seven years ago. She was a parishioner of the St. Veronica Catholic Church, Howell, and a member of the Senior Social Club at the Villages. Betty was a kitchen aide at Taunton School for the Howell Township Board of Education. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Sciortino of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James Sciortino of Hauppauge, Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan Campagnola and Jodiann Hauerslev, both of Howell; a sister, Mary Sonnenburg of Ozone Park, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.
