Obituary of Iwan Butenko

Iwan Butenko, 78, of Ocala Florida passed away on September 8, 2023. He was born in Italy and had immigrated to the United States in 1954. Iwan served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a retired commercial truck driver. A man of great faith, he volunteered at the St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral for 25 years. Iwan was a talented soccer player and also enjoyed fishing and watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Butenko of Ocala FL; daughter, Tania Allison and her husband, Nathan of Ocala, FL; two granddaughters, Alexandra Rodier and Cassandra Rodier; sister, Maria Habermas of Fairfield, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

A Pannyhida will be held at St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral, 200 Alexander Avenue, Howell, New Jersey on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Relatives and friend are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Service at the Cathedral on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir R.O. Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson, New Jersey.
