Obituary of Jacquelyn Ann Meeks

Jacquelyn Ann Meeks, 71, of Manchester, NJ passed away on September 12th after a sudden diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Jackie was born on November 27th, 1951 to Walter & Mary Thiele in Neptune, NJ. After graduating from Neptune High School, she married Stephen Meeks and gave birth to their daughter, Marcy.  Jackie attended and volunteered at church faithfully throughout her life, including many years at Community Baptist Church in Shark River Hills, Faith Evangelical Free Church in Freehold, and St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Toms River.  She loved animals and worked for some years as a dog groomer.

Jackie loved to be outside in God's creation: camping in the mountains, swimming in the ocean, walking in the forest, and soaking up the sunshine.  Her faith and joy in life was always breaking out in laughter and song.  Her greatest pleasure was always to be sharing these things with her family, her daughter's family, her niece's and nephew's families, and these last few years with her fiancé and his family.

Jacquelyn is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Walter Thiele Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrew & Marcy Hagge, and their four daughters: Rebecca Pajak with her husband Sean Pajak, Emily Hagge with her fiancé Seth Roffé, Muriel Hagge, and Eleanor Hagge; her nephew Kip Thiele with his wife Catherine and their daughter Gretchen, her niece Heather Cullin with her husband James and their sons Ben and Alex, and her fiancé Andrew Cossen and his daughter and son-in law Iqbal & Danielle Khan and their daughters Yasmina and Mia, his daughter and son-in-law Geovanni & Gabrielle Vasquez.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a funeral service to take place at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM graveside service on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Evergreen Cemetery, Route 524 and West Farms Road, Howell.
