Obituary of Marina Prokopenko

Marina Prokopenko, 61, of Howell passed away at home on September 16, 2023.  Marina was born in Syzran, Russia and raised in Rostov-on-Don, Russia before emigrating to the United States.  Marina had lived in Brooklyn and Marlboro before settling in Howell in 2019.  She was working as a home attendant for Village Care Max in Queens but prior to that she was the owner of Skazka Day Care Center, Morganville, NJ.

Marina was predeceased by her son, Aleksandr and her father, Yevgeniy Silov.  She is survived by her daughter’s, Diana and Victoria; and her mother, Larisa.

A pannyhida will be held at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 200 Alexander Avenue, Howell, NJ on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at the Cathedral on Friday, September 22, 2023.  Interment will follow in St. Vladimir’s R.O.
