Obituary of Richard M. Fogler

Richard M Fogler, 81, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center.  Richard was born and raised in Newark.  He had lived in Neptune, Matawan, and Old Bridge before settling in Freehold Township in 1984.  A proud teamster, Richard worked for Coca-Cola in Newark, Parsippany, and Asbury Park as a refrigerator mechanic for over forty years until retiring.  A man of faith, he was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine.  Richards relished all things sports and was a die-hard NY Yankees fan.  Throughout his life, Richard enjoyed fishing and took great pride in his yard work.  Yet most of all, family meant everything to him.  Richard was a loving husband for 48 years, proud father, adoring Papa, faithful brother, and fond uncle and great uncle.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael R. Fogler in 2008.  Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Fogler; daughter, Kate Fogler and her husband, Jason Groschel; granddaughter, Allie; brothers, Joe Fogler and Larry Fogler and his wife, Barbara; and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
