Obituary of Timothy J. Doyle, Sr.

Timothy J. Doyle, Sr., 58, of Brick Township passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at home.  He was born in Brick and was a lifelong resident.  Tim was currently the longest tenured employee at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle.  He began his career at the golf club in 1987 and presently held the title of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.  Tim epitomized the family atmosphere at the club and could be counted on to greet the members with a pleasant smile and a gracious hello.  Many members enjoyed his tableside prepared Caesar salad.  Tim enjoyed riding in his Mustang convertible. 

Tim was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Sherry L. Doyle in February of this year; and his parents, Patrick and Anna Doyle; a brother, Pat Doyle and a sister, Deborah Doyle.  He is survived by his sons, Timothy J. Doyle, Jr. and Shawn Patrick Doyle, both at home; cousins, Liz Temperio and her daughter, Madison of Forked River, Anna Budrow and her husband, Joe of Toms River, Nick Temperio and his wife, Gina of Bayville and  Mike Temperio and his wife, Fran of Beachwood; mother-in-law, Donna MacMillan of Quakerstown, PA; brother-in-law, Richard Hopkins and his wife, Sharon of Quakerstown, PA; sister-in-law, Denise Brower and her husband, Michael of Browns Mills; nephew, John Morton and his fiancée, Brittany Butler; and two nieces, Olivia Hopkins and Ella Hopkins.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of the Visitation, 730 Lynnwood Avenue, Brick on Monday, October 16, 2023.  Entombment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River.  For those who desire, donations for Tim’s sons Timmy and Shawn may be made to the Manasquan River Golf Foundation, 1011 Highway 71, Suite 200, Spring Lake, NJ 07762.   For information, directions or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
