Obituary of Madeline Reiff

Madeline Reiff, 96, of Howell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Madeline was born in Wesley, West Virginia and raised in Kentucky.  She moved to Howell when she was 19 years old.  Madeline retired as packer for Brockway Glass Company, Freehold after 34 years of dedicated service in 1990.  She then went to work on Gibson Farm, Freehold and was affectionately known as the Corn Lady.   Madeline was a longtime member of the Jerseyville United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Howell Senior Center and the St. Veronica’s Senior Club.  Cooking and sewing were things Madeline liked to do but her favorite thing was to go out to lunch. 

Madeline was predeceased by her 1^st husband, Sidney Bromley; her 2^nd husband, Ralph Reiff; her sister, Eunita Long; and a brother, Elmer Kirk.  She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Bromley of Jackson; granddaughter, Vanessa Glovich (Stephen Wisner, Jr.) of Howell; four great-grandchildren, Coltin Glovich, Madilyn Glovich, Josilyn Glovich and Charlee Glovich; three sisters, Corine Arthur of Las Vegas, NV, Marie Huddleston of Conway, SC, Geneva Cavagnaro and her husband, Louis of Miller Place, NY; a brother, Charles Stelljes of Dover, DE; and numerous nieces and nephews, especially, Sharon Zari and her husband, Daniel and their daughter, Laura Gardner and Brenda DiVincenzo and her husband, Don and their children, Donald DiVincenzo, Jr. and Chelsey Karl and her husband, Rich, and Dennis Long and his wife, Tina.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, October 21, 2023.  Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to  Jerseyville United Methodist Church, 8 Howell Road, Freehold, New Jersey 07728.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
