Obituary of Gloria Ann Capeci

Gloria Ann Capeci, 96, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Bartley Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Parlin before settling here in 2000.  Gloria loved cooking, as well as playing cards with friends and digital poker.  She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her late husband and was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson.  Gloria will be missed by all who loved her and will be remembered as a devoted grandma and great grandma. 

Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Daniel; parents, Steven and Grace Savasta; and brother, Stephen Savasta and his wife, Irene.  She is survived by her daughters, Lori Ellen Hutchins and her husband, Gary of Wadsworth, OH and Catherine Stratton and her husband, Edward of Howell; son, Daniel Capeci of Jackson; grandchildren, Caitlin Raiten and her husband, Justin of Freehold, Brianne Adams and her husband, Stephen of Westwood, Christopher Hutchins of Columbus, OH and Kimberly Janis and her husband, Joseph of Brunswick, OH; and great grandchildren, Grace, Cadence, Wesley, Caleb and Jameson.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on the 23^rd at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, One Phalanx Road, Colts Neck.  Entombment will follow in Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
