Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Broadway
Marion Elizabeth Broadway, 86, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at The Jewish Home, Freehold. She was born in Brooklyn and was raised in Queens and had lived in Long Island and Old Bridge before settling in Freehold in 1989. Marion was a money counter at Wells Fargo Bank in Cranbury for over 20 years. Always active, Marion enjoyed bowling, tending to her plants and gardening. She was a lover of old movies and reading thriller type books. Marion loved her family deeply and would rarely miss a chance to talk to people about them.
She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Broadway; granddaughter, Alysson Broadway; step granddaughter, Tracy Sowell and son in law, David Goldstein. Marion is survived by her five children, Arthur Broadway of Las Vegas, John Broadway and his wife, Diane of South Carolina, Marion Goldstein of Toms river, Kathleen Rotante and her husband, Raymond of South Carolina and Barbara Shea and her husband, James of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephew and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with a funeral service to follow. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 8:30 AM for her funeral procession to the cemetery. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
