Obituary of Helene Heinsohn

Helene D. Heinsohn, 84, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at home. She grew up in Springfield, NJ and settled in Freehold Township in 1978. Helene worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse early in her career before dedicating herself as a full- time homemaker.

Helene treasured time spent with family. She was a shining example to her children and grandchildren as a woman of faith, compassion and kindness. In her spare time, Helene enjoyed scrapbooking. She loved to capture wonderful memories and family milestones. Helene was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, where she served as a past deacon and prayer chain coordinator.

Helene was predeceased by her loving husband, Howard in 2019 after 53 years of marriage. She is survived by her son, Paul Heinsohn and his wife, Julie of Freehold Township, Debbie Heinsohn-Robinson and her husband, Bob of Howell, and son, David Heinsohn and his wife, Stacey ofManahawkin; grandchildren, Holly, Charlotte, Chelsea, Kaity, Hannah, Alicia, Nicholas and Isabella; and great grandchildren, Christian and Cameron.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00

PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Helene may be made to the Deacons Fund at First Presbyterian Church.
