Pauline and my grandmother were neighbors for many years, and most importantly, very good friends. I remember being very young (8 years old) and staying at Mrs. Kourtz house. There was such a beautiful collection of dolls! Mrs. Kourtz will forever be apart of my life.
Love, Pauline DeLullo’s granddaughter, Samantha
So sad to hear of your mom’s passing. She led a full and rich life blessed with a loving family and friends. Take comfort in knowing that she is at peace. Her eyes always had a sparkle to them, and she was always quick with a smile and a laugh. My deepest condolences, Steve.
When we lost you.
We wish we could see you one more time; but we know that is impossible, We will hear your voice no more. We know you can feel our tears and you don't want us to cry yet our hearts are broken because we can't understand why someone so precious had to die. We pray that God will give us strength and somehow will get us through as we struggle with this heartache that came when we lost you. You were one of the strongest, bravest, kindest, and most loving humans to grace this planet. Without you, we wouldn't be here today, We wouldn't be the people we are, and we wouldn't have the lives we have. Mom you were everything to us, and more, and there's no way we could ever quantify the importance you have held in our lives. God has you in his arms now, and we have you in our hearts and will miss you forever.
A few weeks ago I helped wheel Pauline out of her house so she could attend her Grand Daughter's wedding down the shore. Pauline was late coming back, but I waited outside on my front lawn chair till she and Debbie arrived home in the dark. It was late, but Pauline was wide awake, still happy and bubbling with energy from the good time she had among her Girls and the guests at the Wedding reception. At 102 years old, I felt everyone there got to celebrate with her in what turned out to be a farewell. My mom and the Gaeta's love Pauline as our long time neighbor since 1968. She will be missed. Pauline was especially blessed to have her Daughter Debbie as her dedicated caregiver for many years as well as frequent visits from her Daughter Robin and the Grand Daughters over many, many years. Pauline was blessed and passed so peacefully at home in her sleep.
I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Pauline, there's just not enough room for all of them here. My favorite times were spent during the summers at Seaside and watching fireworks from the porch with her. She was always smiling and her laugh was infectious...I can still hear it now in my head. She was so joyful, so generous, and so happy to spend time with all of her family. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. We will all miss you, Aunt Pauline. Rest in peace. -- Amy
I remember your mother tried to teach me how to ride a bike because my mother didn't want me to. She was so patient and kind and told me to never give up. Although I never did learn how to ride a bike. We had so much fun driving to Florida in the 2 cars. She made everything fun. She was my maid of honor because we wanted to be related. I wish I had been able to see her more but couldn't after I moved to Florida but I thought of her all the time. I will miss her. Love Aunt Joanne
