Obituary of Marie Bascone

Marie Bascone, 73, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Bartley Healthcare & Nursing Rehabilitation, Jackson.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn where she spent 60 years before settling in Freehold 13 years ago.  Marie loved eating, reading, and watching movies, and television crime dramas.  Throughout her life she enjoyed bowling, Atlantic City, family vacations, and trips with her sister.  Marie was the life of the party, extremely sociable and always enjoyed a good time.   She treasured her grandchildren and celebrating holidays with her family. 

Marie was predeceased by her life partner, Ronnie Mykland; sister, Jean Del Villar; and brother, Michael Rizzo.  She is survived by her sons, Anthony Bascone and his wife, Christine and Christopher Bascone and his wife, Lisa, all of Howell; grandchildren, Charlie, A.J., Brittany, Halle, Michael, and Melissa; brother, John Heanue; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Theresa Cardazone.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  Interment will be private.  For information, directions or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
