Just heard about this so, as usual, am late to the party.

Tanya was the first girl I ever asked to a school dance. We were in Jr high and I followed her around for two weeks before working up enough courage to ask her (I was terminally shy). The night of the dance my mom was driving me to the school and I got cold feet and asked her to stop at a pay phone - I was going to call her and say I was sick (not really a lie, I actually felt sick). Her sister answered the phone and replied that "...she went to the school dance with John Lutz...". So I worked up my courage and went - and had a great time.
