Obituary of Dorothy Blatchley

Dorothy W. Blatchley, 83, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall. Dorothy was born and raised in Adelphia and was a lifelong Freehold Township area resident. She was a secretary for Freehold Township School District. Dorothy was a Cub Scout den mother and she also was a Sunday school teacher at the Reformed Church of Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Charles Blatchley, in 2010 and a daughter, Leigh Breese in 1981. Dorothy is survived by a son, Brian Blatchley and his wife, Shirley A. of Oceanport, NJ; two grandchildren, Jennifer Corboy and her husband, Daniel of Middletown, NJ and Jeffrey Pace and his wife, Natasha of Northport, Fl.; and four great grandchildren, Calvin Jesse Corboy, Naomi Rose Corboy, Samantha Pace and Alexander Pace. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
