Obituary of Joseph L. Ghigna

Joseph L. Ghigna, 84, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family and his faithful four-legged companion, Lindsey. He was born and raised in the Little Italy section of the Bronx and settled in Howell in 1977 where alongside his wife, Carol they raised their family. Joseph worked in the moving and storage industry before his retirement.  He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and bird watching. Joseph was known for having his TV set on his favorite cooking channels. Above all, his greatest accomplishment was his grandchildren and being present at their events.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Nancy Ghigna; and sister, Marie Izzo. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ghigna of Howell; children, John Ghigna and his wife, Donna of Morganville and Joseph Ghigna and his wife, Michelle of Jackson; four grandchildren, Justina, Drew, GinaMarie, and John.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with his memorial service to begin at 4:30 PM.
