Obituary of Christopher Joseph Beatty
Christopher Joseph Beatty, 65, of Jackson passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Christopher then lived in Nashville for 12 years with his wife after they got married. Together they moved to Orange Park, Florida where they lived for 5 years before settling in Jackson in 2006. He worked as a Procurement Manager for many years for C&S Wholesale Grocers in Edison. Anything that Christopher did, he did whole heartedly. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus through Our Lady of The Lord and most recently the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. Christopher loved the Church; he ran the youth group at St. Robert’s for 11 years and recited the rosary every night. He valued horses, enjoyed golfing, and had a wicked sense of humor. Christopher always watched his sons play sports and even became coach of one of their teams. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father, and adored his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sterling Prentise and Elsie Beatty; brother, Douglas; and sisters, Marianne and Bronwyn. Christopher is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cynthia Beatty; sons, Christopher Joseph Beatty, II and his wife, Samantha and Cameron James Blake Beatty; grandchildren, Harper Raine Beatty and Noah Charles Beatty; siblings, James Beatty, Thomas Beatty, and Michael Beatty; and many loving nieces and nephews.
