Obituary of Patrick Shane Goward
Patrick Shane Goward, 31, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Riverside California and had lived throughout the Country while his parents served in the United States Government. Patrick graduated from Mountain View High School, and in 2014 enlisted in the United States Air Force as a F-22 Crew Chief, specializing in aircraft crash recovery at Tyndall AFB in Florida. Upon separation from the military, Patrick settled in Delaware three years ago, to raise his own family. He worked as a Signal Maintenance Technician for Diamondback Signal and Delmarva Central Railroad, providing grade crossing protection for over 180 miles of rail line in three states. Always busy, Patrick enjoyed playing guitar, working on his home and his motorcycle, but found the most joy in spending time with his wife and two daughters. We will all miss his kindness, generosity of spirit, and sense of humor. He was optimistic, easy going, a leader, a hard worker, a fighter, and always saw the best in people. While Patrick’s life was cut short, he lived the time he was given to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Goward of Magnolia Delaware; two daughters, Emma Goward and Amber Goward; parents, Matthew and Janet Goward of Tennessee; brother, Johnathen Goward of Alaska.
