Obituary of Adriana Marrapodi

Heaven gained an angel. Adriana Marrapodi, 86, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday,

December 4, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Adriana was born in Roccella Ionica, Calabria, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1957.  She settled in Brooklyn at that time, and also lived in Florida before moving here in 2015.  Everyone that knew Adriana called her Nonna. She took great pleasure in cooking and taking care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, spending time in her second home in Clearwater, Florida, and making memories with her loved ones. She was the type of person who would cook for anyone who would walk through the door and make them feel like family. She truly was one of a kind, a golden soul and will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Adriana was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; three sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Fred Marrapodi and his wife, Mariastella of Howell; daughter, Marika Testa and her husband, Joseph of Freehold Township; six grandchildren, Natasha Marrapodi, Christopher Marrapodi, Vincent Marrapodi, Alexandra Gugliardo and her husband, Richie, Joseph Testa and Sarahelena Marrapodi; two sisters, Gulia Marino and Pina D’Agostino; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
