Obituary of Bartolo A. Giuffre

Bartolo A. “Bart” Giuffre, 82, of Howell passed away on December 7, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island before settling in Howell in 1970. Bart’s professional career was spent at Stone & Webster where he was an accountant for 28 years before his retirement in 1996. He would frequent the Howell Senior Center and was forever thankful for the memories made there. Bart was a history buff and specialized in the Civil War. He had a fighting spirit and easy smile in spite of everything he endured and left a lasting impression on all he knew.

Bart was predeceased by his parents, Natle and Rose Giuffre; brother, Michael R. Giuffre; nephew, Ralph Giuffre; and son-in-law, Michael R. Severns. He is survived by his wife, Georgette Giuffre; two daughters, Rose Ellen Gibson and her husband, Charles of Freehold and Alyssa Severns of Browns Mills; nieces, Michele Veiga and her husband, Tomas of Hamden, CT and Debra Giuffre of Pepperell, MA; great nephews, Wyn Veiga, Dennis Giuffre, and Thomas Giuffre.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with his funeral service to follow. Inurnment will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan Township, NJ 07763.
