Obituary of Florence Chance

Florence Chance, 73, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold.  Florence was born on June 15, 1950 to John Buckler, Sr. and Vera Buckler in Manhattan, NY.  She had three siblings – her brother John Jr., sister Marie and her identical twin sister, Peggy.  She was raised in Sayreville and had lived in Parlin and Marlboro until moving to Freehold in January of this year.  Florence retired as a legal secretary at Sussan & Greenwald in Cranbury with over 20 years of dedicated service.  She had a passion for the game of football and rooted for the NY Jets.  Florence enjoyed watching old movies on TCM and Jeopardy and loved to take trips to Cape May.  Yet nothing compared to her faith and she was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Freehold.

Florence is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kenneth F. Chance; two children, Steven Fox, Jr. and his wife, Laura of Freehold and Diane Henry and her husband, Edward of Freehold; four grandchildren, Sebastian Fox, Sawyer Fox, Jack Henry, and Elizabeth Henry.

A memorial service will held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Freehold, 141 Court Street, Freehold on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
