Obituary of John T. Dedousis

John T. Dedousis, 86, of Naples, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born and raised in Jersey City and after his retirement split his time between his home in Freehold and Florida. John proudly served his country in the Air Force Reserve. His life was characterized by service and sacrifice, evident in his tenure as a retired lieutenant from the Hudson County Sheriff Department. He was a former member of the New Jersey State Honor Legion, the Police Benevolent Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

John is predeceased by his daughter, Dr. Lisa Dedousis. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Dedousis; son, Dr. John Dedousis and his wife, Elaine of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Alexis Pezza and Jaime Palumbo and her husband, John; four great grandchildren, Layla, Geordanna, Kai and Jaxx and  brother, Thomas Dedousis and his wife, Mary Kay of Naples Fl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 3:00 PM Funeral Mass on Friday, January 5^th, 2024, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07063.
