Obituary of Gloria Sue Katz

Gloria Sue Katz, 82, of Manalapan passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Preferred Care of Old Bridge.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Freehold Township, NJ in the early 70s where she remained until settling in Manalapan, NJ.  Many locals would remember her from her job as a bank teller supervisor at Central Jersey Bank & Trust Company in Freehold Township.  Bubbe (as she loved to be called) enjoyed going to Atlantic City and Parx Casino to play the slot machines. Win or lose, it was always an adventure! She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially oatmeal cookies for her kids and grandkids. Bubbe treasured her family and could always be counted on to support her grandchildren and cheer them on at their activities.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, George and Mollie Wisselman; brother, Edward Wisselman; and her precious Daisy. She is survived by her children, Alan Katz; Mitchell Katz and his wife, Amy of Decatur, GA; and daughter, Meryl Pefanis and her husband, Billy of Manalapan; and seven grandchildren, Madelyn, Carli, Landon, Mollie, Zoe, George and Cooper.
