Obituary of Claudia Kuchinow
Claudia Kuchinow passed peacefully on Jan 31, 2024 at Hilton Head Island, SC. She will be remembered by her family; son Robert and Mary, grandchildren Melissa (Patrick) and Stephanie (Stephen) and three great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Claudia lived in New Brunswick NJ and worked for many years at Rutgers University. She thoroughly enjoyed the association with the University and working with everyone there, especially the graduate students with whom she formed genuine friendships.
Claudia was a true traveler born in Russia, grew up and went to school in France and then emigrated to the U.S. She traveled many times to Europe, once to Asia and several cross-country trips in U.S., returning with funny stories, observations, and gifts. Stories of her formative years in France were always related with fond remembrance.
Her home was welcome to all the family and friends. Everyone enjoyed stopping by for connection and catch-up on daily life. In addition to her immediate family above, she is predeceased by her parents, Oschur and Evdokia Sodbinow, and brother, Gawril (Odette). Surviving brothers, Vladimir (Katia) and Sandscha (Saglara), and sister Isabelle with their families will miss her, as well as numerous nephews and nieces who all remember their aunt with much affection. May she rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, please send donation to Kalmyk Mongolian Buddhist Center, c/o Treasurer, 122 Squirrel Tree Lane, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054; with note in memory of Claudia Kuchinow.
