Obituary of Joseph Colonna

Joseph "Sonny" Colonna, 79, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Joseph was born and raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Jackson until moving to Freehold Township last year. Joseph was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maureen Colonna of Freehold Township; three daughters, Lisa M. Dimino and her husband, Lawrence of Manalapan, Shannon Colonna of Spring Lake Heights and Candace Colonna-Borgese and her husband, Michael of Millstone; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Rogers of West Babylon, LI, NY. A receiving of friends and relatives will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM with a funeral service at 8:30 PM.
