Obituary of Geraldine C. Alfaro

Geraldine C. Alfaro, 80, of Jackson passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood. She was born and raised in Bayonne, lived in her dream house in Green Brook, and settled in Jackson in 2006. Geraldine worked as a Nurse at Bayonne Hospital, where she met her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed travelling all over the world, was an amazing cook, and spent countless hours caring for the pets she loved.  Geraldine was an avid reader who passed her love of reading to her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Carlos Robert Alfaro; parents; brother; grandparents; and aunts and uncle. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Candice Alfaro Smires and her husband, Daniel; son, Carl Alfaro and his wife, Elizabeth; and grandchildren, Audra Smires, Aidan Smires, Nicholas Alfaro, and Evan Alfaro.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Memorial Mass at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Interment will be private.
