Obituary of Laura Ann Becker

Laura Ann Becker, 82, of Howell passed away at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Howell.  Laura worked for Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital as a secretary for 32 years.  A true sports fan, Laura enjoyed watching games, especially the Devils and Mets.  She was an avid reader, who enjoyed bowling and bird watching, as well relaxing on Manasquan Beach.  Laura’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and her presence in their lives will be missed more than words can say. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine M. Becker; father, Jacob Walling; mother, Doris Walling; brothers, Gregory J. Walling and Wayne Walling; sister, Mary Noraas; and sister-in-law, Carol Walling.  Laura is survived by her beloved husband, William J. Becker, Sr.;  children, William J. Becker, Jr. and his significant other, Sara Zizza, Barbara Noseworthy and her husband, Scott, and Gail Cottrell and her husband, Joshua; grandchildren, Patrick Becker and his significant other, Alison Astalos, Ashley Rosenberg and her husband, Matthew, Laura Noseworthy, Kira Noseworthy, Ava Cottrell, and Jacob Cottrell; great grandchildren, Landon Rosenberg and McKinley Rosenberg; siblings, Thomas Walling and his wife, Catherine, Brian Walling, Dennis Walling and his wife, Teresa, Daniel Walling and his wife, Kim, Mark Walling and his significant other, Barbara Biddle, Susan Jablonski and her husband, Joseph and Sarah Butala and her husband, Thomas; sister-in-law, Joan Walling; and brother-in-law, Andreas Noraas.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM memorial service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Inurnment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 169 West Main Street, Freehold.
