Obituary of Natasha Mandery
On Sunday February 25, 2024, Natasha Mandery, a warm and luminous spirit, gracefully transitioned from this earthly realm to be with our Lord in Heaven for eternity. Born amidst the bustling streets of Brooklyn to Michael and Sonia Manugue, Natasha's life stitched together a colorful quilt of places she could call home; from the vibrant boroughs of Queens to the shores of Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, the serene landscapes of Clifton, VA, to the sun-kissed embrace of Melbourne, FL.
Natasha found her rhythm in the cadence of Florida, walking 5 miles most days, delighting in the camaraderie between her exercises with Silver Sneakers, various events with the Red Hat Society and getting together with family and friends. Natasha’s quick wit and dry sense of humor put her friends and family at ease. She opened her doors to family visits, always joining her grandchildren on adventures even into her seventies. Natasha could be found riding waves, walking the trails of Animal Kingdom, playing with legos, swimming in her pool and telling stories of her childhood.
Over the years with her husband Donald, Natasha found joy traveling to distant lands as far as Hawaii, China, Hungary, Egypt and Russia, their wanderlust ignited by a fervent passion for exploration. In recent years she found more simple pleasures traveling to visit family and friends in New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Key West and Bonita Springs. While at home, Natasha could often be found relaxing, solving daily newspaper word puzzles, and enjoying her favorite TV shows and movies.
Intertwined with Natasha’s love for life, family and friends, she had an unwavering devotion to the Russian Orthodox Church. A member of St. Simeon's church in Titusville Fl., Natasha was often found volunteering, serving the board, supporting the parish and forming lifelong friendships with her fellow parishioners. The support and relationships she found at St Simeon’s church helped to guide her last months as she wrestled with the next journey she would walk. Her faith never faltered and the love she felt from her church is a special part of Natasha’s life story.
Natasha's life was a tapestry of family and love, woven together with threads of memories that offer solace in the face of her passing. Preceded by her dear husband, Donald, and her beloved brothers, Victor Manugue and Leonid Manugue, Natasha leaves behind a profound legacy that lives on in the hearts of her family. Her memory is carried on by her devoted son, Derek Mandery, and his wife, Jennifer, of Allamuchy, along with her loving daughters, Danya Cumberland, and her husband, Michael, of Kannapolis, NC and Donyale Fowler of Helendale, CA. Also her cherished grandchildren, Corbin and Bennett, as well as her beloved great grandson Bryson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Natasha’s Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, St. Mary R.O. Church, 316 Cassvile Road, Jackson on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Simeon Orthodox Church, 3175 Satterfield Road, Titusville, FL 32780 or HERE.
