Obituary of Gail A. Johnson

Gail A. Johnson, 77, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Jersey Shore Medical University Center. She was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Howell Township. Gail worked as a receptionist for Dr. Muck for many years and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending her days gardening, bird watching, and watching Nascar. Most importantly, Gail loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gail is predeceased by her husband, Robert Johnson; parents, Florence and Paul Burdge, Sr; grandmother, Louise Conover and sister-in-law, Karen Burdge. She is survived by her children, Robert Johnson and his wife, Gina of Forked River, and Jean “Jeanne” Tirone and her husband, Jerry of Farmingdale; grandchildren, Amy DeLuca and her husband David, Daniel Moiseyev, Richard Johnson and his wife, Simone, and Christopher Johnson and his wife, Kristen; great-grandchildren, Shay, Emily and Archie; brother, Paul Burdge, Jr. and dear friends, Geri and Joe Shearn, and Barbara Nagy.  

A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with her funeral service to follow.  For those who desire, contributions in memory of Gail may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38501.
