Obituary of Noreen Mary Swart

Noreen Mary Swart, 73, of Freehold passed away at home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born and raised in Edison and moved to Freehold Township in 1981. Noreen graduated pre-law from Trenton State (TCNJ) and worked as a Senior Analyst for Prudential before retiring in 2010. She was a lover of her animals, the NY Mets, and driving fancy cars during her joyful life.

Noreen is predeceased by her parents, Robert V. McElroy and Dorothy “Mac” Jones; her husband, Harold Gary Swart; and her brother, Robert McElroy. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew Swart and Jeanette, and their children, Norah and Gavin of Old Bridge; her daughter, Caitlyn Swart and partner, Joe DePalma of Helmetta; sister-in-law, Beverly “Jo” McElroy of Effingham, Illinois; cousin, Marsha Ras and her husband, Steve of Albany, New York; dear lifelong friends, Conrad “Win” Miller and his wife, Lynn of Brielle, and Patricia Scherer of Freehold; several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Visitation for Noreen will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM. Interment will be private.
