Obituary of Rosina Attanasio
Rosina Attanasio, 99, of Morganville passed away peacefully at Solana Assisted Living on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Our mother Rosina was born on February 21, 1925, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Mom was one of seven brothers and sisters. Her family moved to Washington D.C early in her life. This is where she met our dad, Angelo. Both mom and dad soon moved to Linden, NJ and on January 18, 1948, they were married. Two years later, their first child was born, Angelo “Tony” and five years later, a daughter, Rosemarie “Rose”. In her younger years, mom helped with the family needs by working at BZ Fashion shop in Linden as a sales associate. Rosina lived most of her life in Linden until our dad, who owned Father & Son Barbershop, retired. They then moved to Surrey Downs, an adult community in Freehold. Mom stayed at Surrey Downs for a number of years after dad’s passing. In her early 90’s, mom needed more care and moved to her last location to Solana an assisted living facility in Morganville.
She's had a long life, but it was God’s wishes that she would finally receive the deserved rest she worked all her life for and finally was reunited with our father on April 2, 2024. May GOD rest her soul. We’ll miss you, Mom.
Rosina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo Attanasio; siblings, Sara Tomasulo, Mary Duggan, Anthony Bonanno, Placido “Ted” Bonanno, Vincent Bonanno; and a son-in-law, Jerry. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Nunziato; a son, Angelo C. Attanasio and his wife, Bette; grandchildren, Anthony Attanasio and his wife, Julia and Christopher Attanasio and his wife, Jillian; Joseph Nunziato and his wife, Jessica and Stacie Nunziato; and four great grandchildren: Kenzi and Santino Attanasio; and Gianna and Christopher Nunziato; brother, Salvatore “Sam” Bonanno; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
