Obituary of Francine Cottrell

Francine Cottrell, 66, of Neptune and Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee, due to complications following open heart surgery in January. She was born in Point Pleasant, and had lived in several New Jersey towns, including Neptune where she went to High School and Freehold. Francine was last employed at Walgreens in Freehold retiring and moving in with her daughter and grandchildren in Keokee, Virginia in 2019.

She was predeceased by her parents, Marjorie and John Peter Cottrell, Sr.; and brother, John Peter Cottrell, II.. Francine is survived by her sister, Marjorie H. Wildman of Eatontown, NJ; twin brother, Frances Cottrell of Howell, NJ; daughters, Stephanie Cottrell of Cowpens, SC and Sheila Cottrell and her fiancé, Trampas Ferrell of Keokee, VA; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. An 11:00 AM Graveside Service will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, 169 West Main Street, Freehold.
